It’s Big Poe, motherfuckers!! ‘Big Poe’, obviously, being short for… Big Potential… because the record has such potential…? Big Poacher…? Because Tyler likes to illegally hint game…? Big Pochettino! Of course! Tyler is American, of course, and I’m sure Poch will appreciate the show of confidence ahead of next summer’s World Cup! Fantastic! I hope you cunts lose every game! World Cup 2026 is a vomit inducing sham and your fucking country should be ashamed of itself! Hate you all so much! Have fun!
The day before his sixth album’s July 21st release, Tyler, The Creator was at pains to stress how we shouldn’t expect too much from this shit! It was just an album! There’s no overlying concept, he won’t be wearing funny masks or bright wigs, there’s no unflinching peak into to the psyche of the millennial black experience, it’s just fucking ten banging songs!! From the opening of the album quoted above, Tyler makes it very clear that they’ll be “None of that deep shit”.
Hmmmmmm, but then it samples the song song Roked by Shye Ben Tzur and Jonny Greenwood. Is this some sort of political statement given the cruel and damaging treatment of poor little Radiohead just because they never said they didn’t approve of genocide? Is it him actually subtly furthering a point of view he voiced on 2021’s Manifesto concerning the idea that artist’s should feel forced to spoke up about various topics: “Lil’ white bitch gon’ say/You need to say something about that”/”You need to say somethin’ ’bout Black-“/Bitch, suck my…”. He said white bitch, so it’s OK. You can say whatever hateful things you want about women as long as you add ‘white’ at the start. You’re actually being hateful towards white people, really, so it’s OK, yeah? Incredibly, this trick looks like it’s starting to work if you want to slag off (white) gay and (white) trans people as well, so go nuts!! I actually got a solid 15 minutes at the Chuckle Bucket on how much I hate white disabled people. “Ooooooh, I can’t walk properly and I want all the best walking spaces!!”, get the fuck outta here!! It works better when you hear the voice I do, it’s proper spazzy, you’d love it!
So, yeah, anyway, it would almost be hypocrtical for Tyler Gregory Okonma to start preaching too much about the Gaza Genocide. Almost. But, he’s from a Working Class background, so I don’t think he needs to clarify what side of the imperialist divide he’s on (unlike, perhaps, Vulture Capitalist Baby Blondshell), and he wore the badges of both Palestine and Congo at a gig last year, so I’m gonna let it slide.
Though evidence in inconclusive.
I’ve done photos of two fucking Tweets on this post so far, can we just have one big normal photo? It’s gonna look weird otherwise.
What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck…?
OK, this post has gone completely off the rails. ‘Don’t Tap the Glass’ may not come with any deep concepts or intellectual ambitions, but it’s an absolutely perfect 30 minutes of rap music of the quality barely anyone else in the world now would be able to touch. Sometimes it’s just great to hear a master of their craft absolutely have a fucking riot.

Fucking party poops. At least the streets get it, awarding it a massive… 77

Valid.
